So here are a few more small things I've noticed here in Berlin...
1. Berliners are excellent parallel parkers.
2. There are more Smart cars and electric cars than any thing else.
3. The soda (including imports I've bought Fanta, Coke, and Sprite) is made with real sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. And it's not some throwback gimmick--that's actually how the drinks are made in most of Europe. Nestea, too.
4. The potato chips are less salty (yay!) but still very flavorful.
5. I knew that Germany (like the rest of Europe) uses the metric system, not the Imperial system. What I didn't know was that even the standard size of paper is different! The standard copy paper here in longer and narrower than the 8"x11.5" I'm used to...this means that all the papers I'm getting in school stick out the top of my American-sized binder! It also means that my loose-leaf paper just barely fits in a German-sized envelop, since they're made for narrower paper...strange!
I think that's all I've got for now...I just wanted to type these few things so I wouldn't forget them! Now, off to do more homework!
